freida
Heya, A question about the acrobat skill. I've recently hit acrobat skill 50 on my character and noticed that all attacks made from stealth are now power attacks. I can no longer perform normal attacks from stealth. Is this normal? This affects both blunt and sword, 1 handed and 2 handed weapon swings. I've been playing oblivion for a while but this is the first time I've gotten acrobat over 50. Just thought it was odd, hence checking to see if this is normal. Is it like this for everybody or is it just my game?
Master Marksman
Really, if you think about it, if your in a position to make more than one attack while stealthed, then it wouldn't matter what kind of attack it is. Most of us sneakier players hate the "smacking with a dagger" while stealthed, but combat wise it doesn't matter. And yes i believe its normal. Somewhat irritating, but i normally use a bow and one shot kill bandits and marauders, even at level 55.
freida
Thanks for the reply! Yeah it doesn't really matter, it's mostly a one shot affair from stealth I agree. Just that this wasn't very intuitive. Why would acrobat skill affect stealth attacks if you know what I mean... Just wanted to be sure it's a feature and not my oblivion bugging out. Thanks for the confirmation! :thanks:

Thanks for the confirmation! :thanks:Yep, normal behavior unforunately. One of those unfixable bugs. Only solution would seem to have an ability adjust the acrobatics skill for every point over 49 so that the player never crosses this threshold, but can still use the advantages of higher skill.
