Lotus97 Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 (edited) I was just checking my armor rating and it was really high so I removed all my armor and it was 196 without any armor. I'm not sure what's going. I tried disabling all my recent mods, but that didn't help. I then tried some of my older game saves. The older saves my character had 0 rating with no armor on (which is what it should be). I'm not sure what's going. And strangely I recently switched from expert back to adept after me and Lydia got beaten up by spiders so the extra armor rating wasn't really helping that much. I can't see how it could be a problem with mods since the older saved games were working fine. I thought maybe a mod corrupted the newer saved games, but I tried making a new save with the older save and it still wasn't bugged even with the mods. I did come across another thread from someone who didn't use mods, but had a bug with armor (not sure if it was the same one as mine though). Edited November 9, 2013 by Lotus97
Lotus97 Posted November 9, 2013 Author Posted November 9, 2013 (edited) Ok, so maybe it is a mod. There's a mod where I have to take off all my armor type "initiatearmorformula to 1" in the console and then put it back on. When I tried typing this my armor went back to 0 when naked. Prior to trying this I tried disabling mod (that was the first thing I tried) and that didn't make a difference. So I guess I should just disable that mod? It kind of sucks because it fixes the damage reduction amount so it's more of a linear progression rather than increases exponentially towards the armor cap. This is the mod I'm referring to: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/15860/? I'd recommend taking a look if you want to better understand how the armor formula works in Skyrim. Edit: Just tried disabling the mod and my armor was back to the inflated rate. I don't know what to do other than start a new game without this mod (assuming that it is this mod that's causing the problem). Edited November 10, 2013 by Lotus97
