danime91
I've just reinstalled Oblivion on a new computer, and applied my mods. When I play it, at times, especially during conversations, the NPC's voice starts to echo, like in a cave or something. It sometimes happens with things like battle grunts too, but not as often. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem?

Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem? This is likely to be a function of an onboard audio sollution. For starters, look for updates to the audio drivers. Oblivion tends to have issues with onboard audio chipsets, especially Realtek. In the oblivion.ini file located in the ...\Documents\mygames\oblivion\Oblivion.ini file locate: the line "iMaxImpactSoundCount=32", and try changing the 32 to 16 Another tweak that might help is changing the line (in the oblivion.ini) bDSoundHWAcceleration=1 to 0 You may also be experiencing a codec issue CODEC RESETS: K-lite Nightmare
