MikJames
I have the 5th anniversary edition of Oblivion running on Linux (Kubuntu) under Wine. I've manually installed a few mods and they will activate through the data files section of the launcher. When the game is launched with the launcher the mods work (though their are issues due to the lack of Obse) but when I launch the game from the obse loader the mods aren't enabled. I've tried a few different Obse launchers but I am limited in what I can get running on Linux.I unfortunately can't get any of the mod managers running (Wrye, Nmm, Obmm). I should also mention that the game launcher only works properly when launched from the desktop shortcut, when launched directly from the oblivion folder most of the options are grayed out except for the Bethesda website and the exit button. UltharSeramis
Hi, when using OBSE you will need to use a mod manager in order to load all mods correctly (according to my experience). OBMM will probably (as you said) not run under Linux, but you can use Wrye Bash. Simply don't use the standalone/installer-version, but use the python-source. You will only need Python for this (which is pre-installed on every Ubuntu-like Linux-system, like Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu,...). Hope is was able to help you. MikJames
Thank you for helping me out.I just downloaded the latest wrye bash python version from nexus mods and i'm now using xubuntu which appears to have Python 2.7 and Python 3.3 installed. I extracted the Mopy folder to my oblivion directory in playonlinux/wine.I tryed to launch the Wrye launcher directly with both versions of Python and got a console window for a second and then nothing. So what's next?
