nnyftw
So it's finally come to this. Sad to think that one of our best and brightest would leave under such circumstances. In quite a few ways i looked up to her for quite a few years, both her work and ideals. I thought she could do anything, I even asked her directly for help once. She never replied, more than likely because a complement of mine didn't translate well, but that's a long story. At any rate it was because of her sexual preference she was booed from the community. I mean, really, a woman who finds men attractive? For sarcasm's sake, that is crazy talk. The true subject of debate isn't why Slof left or the gayness or lack there of that her mods are filled with. Rather it is: Why is it human nature to force one's ideals on all those around them? You know of what i speak. The person who petitions to have the Jesus in the manger removed from your lawn because it offends them. Or the the person who beats kids up because they have jeans that are too tight, or short, or baggy, or too blue. The people who can't seem to get on with their lifes if someone in their field of view thinks differently then they do. Which is damn near everyone. This isn't a debate on whether or not this happens, the answer to that is yes, it does. Everyone and their mother does it. The question is why. Discuss. I don't know the answer to the question in green, it's a mystery of human nature I suppose. (It does give sociologists something to study.) I must comment on one of your assumptions/statements, though:I've never heard of anyone petitioning to have a creche removed from private property. Rather it's usually when the manger scene is displayed on government property, like Courthouses, in particular. Justice shouldn't only be for one religious group, and there's a constitutional separation of church and state in the US. Displaying a creche on a courthouse lawn is offensive, it brings to mind white robes and hoods.
bben46
I'm going to lock this one for 2 reasons, First, Alien Slof does not wish to be discussed in a forum topic as she has previously indicated.Second, it has taken a turn into religion which is a very touchy subject and leads to flaming.Bben46, Moderator
