Evarin
I know there is a top 50 mod list, but I would like to hear what mods everyone out there recommends. I have been wondering what the best balance mod is to get, as in increasing difficulty and making the weapons better. I like the mod like Robco Certified, and would like to see more mods that really fit the spirit of the game. Don't be afraid to plug your own work. Basically, the best mods for a given type (difficulty tweak, content adding, etc) would be welcome suggestions.
Evarin
To answer my own question for those who might go looking, these are the mods I found which fit my idea of worthwhile: There are a few mods that directly make the game more challenging. I searched far and low for decent mods and there seems to be a few main ones: http://home.comcast.net/~xodarap777/XFO/XF...l#Compatibility That is XFO, which is a pretty badass mod from the looks of it. I still have zero idea if the mods I am installing will work, but I am hoping for the best. This one will DEFINITELY give you the difficulty changes you crave. If you are smarter than I am on how you pick and choose how to make these things work, you should be able to get this to work for you just fine. The other mods I am currently looking to get are the FOOK, which is around number 47 on the top 50. It is a gigantic combination of about a thousand other mods. Adds 150? other guns, and lots of other crazy stuff. Robco Certified lets you repair robots and take them into battle. That is a mod I wanted since I started playing fallout. I would definitely recommend that one. Finally the MMMF3, or Morts Mutant something..something increases the amount of spawns, AND adds a bunch of new creatures. If I can get them all to work with each other I will be a happy man. That Cybernetic Dawn sounds pretty awesome too.
Sporknife
Personally i like using welcome to the wasteland as well as an ammoweight mod. Makes it realistic. I figure if im gonna do a 3rd playthrough ill add basicneeds and something that adds water bottles, and that alternate start - roleplayers one.. GNR -- more where that came from is nice too (greys drama radio too for that matter), variety is the spice of life. if i don't use welcome to the wasteland, ill use a slow leveling mod.
