BOSS Suddenly Not Recognizing Plugins.

So about an hour ago I booted up my computer to get ready to play some Skyrim. I tweaked my ini file, updated some mods and decided to download a couple new mods to test out. I run BOSS to sort them out, but when I go to look at the log, I notice that I have Unrecognized Plugins, which I didn't have last time I ran BOSS.

So, thinking it has to be one of the new mods I click over to check it out. Well it turns out that 56 of my 69 total plugins aren't recognized by BOSS. And these aren't small time, off the radar mods. I'm talking things like AFT, Live Another Life, Purewaters, Hunterborn, Climates of Tamriel, RLO, DCO, Convenient Horses, etc.

It's not really a huge problem since everything but the new mods are still sorted correctly and I can just uncheck those and go on playing for now, but I would like to add/sort mods in the future with BOSS and was wondering if anyone else has encountered this, or could perhaps tell me where my issue(s) lay?

Just launch the game through steam again, it needs to sync. Just make sure you save and copy your Skyrim.ini and prefs somewhere if you have your own settings. After steam opens the launcher, you can close and continue.

Actually I did thanks to posting the same thread in the Modding Troubleshooting subforum a while back: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1214200-boss-suddenly-failing-to-recognize-dozens-of-mods/?hl=boss&do=findComment&comment=10125945

Basically make sure to delete your BOSS masterlist.text file in your BOSS/Skyrim folder and then run BOSS so it will generate a new masterlist.

Hopefully this solves your issue. All credit goes to myztikrice who helped me out.

TenderHooligan, Vainlash, thanks again! I found the solution under another thread. Credit to MODinsane! It was my virus software blocking BOSS from operating. As suggested, I turned off the software, ran BOSS (worked fine this time), turned on and reset the virus software and BOSS now works fine.
