Guest deleted649591
I installed OMOD because everyone says it's great. (or is it OBMM?) I downloaded HG EyeCandy Body and extracted all the files to their own directory. The mod says it's OMOD ready. Now HOW do I use OMOD to install HG EyeCandy Body (or any other mod)? I've read the Readme files, but I must be missing a step somewhere. I think I'm supposed to run OMOD and then 'open' some file in the mod directory and then I'll be walked through the steps of loading the mod. I just can't get it to happen. Can someone list for me the step, in a simple 1, 2, 3 format on how to use OMOD? I hate to ask what must be a dumb question, but it's become obvious I can't figure it out for myself. It reads like I'm supposed to do something to the mod first, but what? As of right now I have the OMOD installed and all the files from the mod unzipped and sitting in their own directory. Sorry, new to OB and trying to mod the thing. THANK YOU!
Guest deleted649591
I haven't tried it yet, but I think someone may have pointed out my problem. I 'unzipped' the HGEC mod into a directory. I've been told now that I should not upzip the file. That the zip file is what I need to find with OBMM to load the mod. Is this correct? (Just wanted some verification before I try it, I'm not at my gaming PC now).
lord_corellon
If its an archive then "Create" and "add Archive" is the way to go. The folders in the omod have to be right and sometimes when you unzip THEN import a folder it doesn't "see" the name of the actual folder you imported, so you only get the subdirectories and everything is in the wrong place. Done this several times myself when I was new :) Otherwise it could be an OMOD, in which case you don't use "Create" you use "Load"
Guest deleted649591
Well the file says it's OMOD ready, so I guess that mean I try 'load'. Course if that doesn't work I'll just try 'create'. I got really stuck on this. I'm used to loading mods manually in MW so of course I always unzipped them. I just assumed the same for OB and have had fits trying to use OBMM because of it. Thanks. Guest deleted649591
I'm hurt you doubted what I told you. Never. I just had time to kill before I got home so I thought I'd double check. The way I was attacked at the official forums I wasn't sure what to believe. Anyway it worked. I don't know why I didn't think of just not 'unzipping' the file. Like I said I was used to doing mods manually so unzipping them just seemed natural. But I created the archive and loaded the mod, double clicked it and all is good. Odd though that I have one mod in the right box of OBMM and all the others are in the left box. Also the mod in the right box (HGEC) doesn't show up at all when I check data files from the OB menu. Well it's working so I'll just be happy for now. :thanks:
coolystguy
The ones in ur left box are the esp's and esm's the area on the right are the loaded Omod's which you can activate or not the benifit of Omods is they install and uninstall meaning less cluttering your hard drive with mod data u dont use! Time slip is the man!

Since body replacers are meshes and textures no esp will appear in your data folder.
