Akadai
Well I've finally come across a bug that many were suffering from and was able to solve it rather quickly I reached a point in Broken Steel where I needed to retrieve a certain item, and then take it back to Citedal. Apon doing so, entering the Citedal crashed me once again. "Oh great" I was thinking "It's happening again." I loaded up my game again, quick traveled back to outside Citedal and then tried to save. Doing so resulted in a crash. I quickly realized what was going on from reading reports of other people's bugs and crashes I tried to quick travel to megaton. Worked fine. Leaving megaton resulted in a crash. Quick traveled anywhere else, tried to save, resulted in a crash Now I knew things were running just perfectly fine moments earlier, as I was able to save just fine. Though it just so happens that I had a certain custom armor mod with it's own custom container in that area I was trying to quick travel from. I remember reading about items that weren't static/persistant were causing game crashes. Sure enough, after I completely removed the mod (unactivated AND deleted) it solved my problems. I could enter citedal again. I could save again. Quick traveled just fine I know it was stated in a seperate thread somewhere about the static/persistant items thing causing crashes. I couldn't remember I had a mod that was like that (as I'm pretty careful with my mods). So this leads me to believe that people who are having save game crash issues or citedal/megaton issues, has to do with mods such as that which adds custom items to the wasteland (outside)

Akadai
That's odd. I have that same mod installed and haven't had any problems with it so far Ok, after reading about the mod again, I can see that it says that it places the gun somewhere near Tenpenny Tower. That is an area I have not come across in a long while in either of my 2 characters. I have a feeling it has to do with the non-persistant weapon placement I'm going to test it out here in a couple minutes and see what happens EDIT: Ok, I just tested out that g36mod, and sure enough, it crashed. I had NOT picked it up yet in any of my games. First I tested to see what would happen if I quick traveled to where the weapon was. Found it, left it alone. Quick traveled somewhere else, saved. Everything seemed to be working ok I repeated the same steps only the 2nd time I picked up the weapon. Sure enough, it crashed on save. It let me save there where I found it, but after I quick traveled someplace else and saved, it crashed. I read in another thread that you can leave where the custom items are found and never pick them up, and just use console code to get them and you should be fine. However, there are certain custom items I had already picked up (one of which I had to delete to be able to play again). So if you've already picked up a custom item from a mod and happened to pass by that area again, it's possible it messed you up already. Deleting the mod 'should' solve the problem. Though there's a certain limit on the mods I feel like getting rid of, as I'm sure it's the same for everyone else. But with these findings, it's possible to fix these mods as well I suppose it's possible for me to completely remove the g36 in the GECK away from Tenpenny Tower. I have yet to fully confirm if mods INSIDE of buildings are fine my self. Though I do have an MP5 mod installed where the weapon is located in the police station. I suppose I could test that one out next and see if it causes any issues EDIT2: Tested out the MP5 mod that was placed in the police HQ. No problems there that I could find. Citedal/Megaton still loaded fine, no save crashes As for the G36, it seems to work fine as long as I leave the gun there at Tenpenny Tower. I didn't test what would happen if I even moved it a couple inches/feet. Seems the safest thing to do is move the location of where you get it to inside a building. Same probably goes for other mods that are located in the wasteland
