mbruno
My computer(a laptop) has an Intel graphics card, which, as far as I know, isn't listed as being supported by Oblivion. However, Oblivion runs practically perfectly on my machine. The only problems I've ever had are occasionally it will crash when I'm exiting the game or it will sometimes hang on loading screen, however these thing don't happen very often, so I'm not really worried about them. I'm just curious as to why this works even though it seem like it shouldn't, not that I'm complaining mind you. Heck, even System Requirements Lab tells me my machine can't run the game. How strange. BTW, Oblivion runs on my machine at medium setting, IIRC, incase anyone wonders.
BossDweebe
Some people just get lucky....I guess you also do everything right - min background processes, defrag etc. If you want to fix the dread black screen on exit get- Fast Exit -. It works every time, but you will also needOBSE to run it.

Any idea about the occasional hanging on the loading screen though. I'm not too worried about fixing it though as it only happens once in while, I'm just asking out of curiousity. Oruboris
We're a little spoiled these days: Daggerfall used to crash my system all the time-- it was just part of the TES experience in those days. You were lucky to get an hour play time without a major crash. My laptop isn't recognized by the games system requirements either. It tries to set all the graphics etc to minimum standards, but it actually runs well with everything maximized. A little lag on occasion if I'm using too many speed boosts I keep a +90 speed spell in effect almost constantly] and very rarely a crash to desktop [reminds me to save often]. I'm not using OBSE, so no fast exit mod, and have to live with the crash on exit bug, and I get an 'Oblivion has stopped working' window that won't go away. I just have to start the task manager to address it, only a couple key strokes, no big deal.
BossDweebe
A couple of extra strokes is no big deal, but toclick once and be done without pause is real nice.
