adrian8520
Hello friends, today I tried to reinstall oblivion, and when I opened the game, I found there was some sort of technical problem with myself, and the NPCS in the game. The problem looks like the images below http://imgur.com/a/leShU Also, for some reason, the console wont open -- I have BAllowConsole turned on in the ini file, and I've been using the Ring of Console mod for now. Is there any specific way to assign a hotkey to the console? Would be easier to use ~ to open and close. My specs are that I am running Oblivion on my Mac now since my PC is broken -- I have it running on Parallels, and I have Lion OSX 10.8.4, with a 2.4GHz Intel Core i5, with 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Memory Is anyone else ever had this problem? Can anyone help me, or does anyone need additional information? Please help, thanks adrian8520 EDIT: for some reason when I toggle light brite in the console, (the mapping problem?) is fixed. but the game looks very ugly Edited November 14, 2013 by adrian8520
UltharSeramis
Hello and welcome to Nexusmods. I must admit that I don't know what your problem on the screenshots is (looks really strange), but I think I can help you with the console.Once activated in the ini-file (I hope you modified the right one; it is NOT the ini-file in your Oblivion-folder; the right one is usually in C:/My Documents/My Games/Oblivion/; the one in your Oblivion-folder is only a template). After that you should be able to open the console. The standard key for this is circumflex ^, but you should be able to assign another key in the options menu of the game. I hope I helped you a bit. bben46
Have you changed your graphics card? or are possibly using an ini file that was not generated specifically for your system as it is now and not as it was in the past? Here is a link to my reinstall instructions, maybe there is something there that will help.http://s1.zetaboards.com/bbenlibrary/topic/4308533/1/#new
