Modding DA on EA's Origin?

EA allows modding of Dragon Age (and Mass Effect, for that matter; the MEHEM discussion thread is one of the most popular on the BSN) on your own machine, for your own single-player game.

For their official response to this very question, see this topic: EA/Bioware's stance on modding Dragon Age.

What people get banned by EA for doing is modding ME3 to cheat in the on-line, multi-player game!

Happy (modded) Gaming!

Yes, NMM works with all known (legitimate) installs of DA and DA2.

(There was a problem with an earlier version due to EA having removed the specific file that NMM used to locate the game, but that's been fixed!)

But be aware that NMM doesn't understand some of the more complicated packaging of mods that some authors employ. So for example, if a mod's .zip file contains multiple "flavours", and the author's instructions say for you to unzip the file and delete the ones you don't want to use...

Well, NMM will not know how to do that. It'll unzip everything and think it's done!

(Then there's the problem "Character Creator" (CC) mods and integrating a new mod's chargenmorphcfg.xml file with any previously existing one. Again, NMM doesn't understand how to deal with that issue. So it's best to deal with CC mods separately and employ Terra_Ex's "CharGenMorph Compiler" to integrate them for you.)
