do you mean to get it in game, or model it in the first place?

if its the modeling you need help with, import one of the ingame hats and take a look at it, then just poke around for some tutorials on your program of choice (3ds max, blender etc)

i think someone (possibly jaysus) made some ball caps, you could get those and see how they did them.

hope that helps to point you on your way a little bit.

well, the way i would do it is (this is blender mind you, but i would imagine its very similar in 3ds)

-import the head nif so you have something to work over for size, shape etc

-create a uvsphere and cut off half of it, then position it over the head,

-turn on proportional editing and start to move points around until its fitting the head the way a cap would.

-add a cube and flatten it to the height of a brim, position it where the brim would be,

-subdivide it a few times and then with proportional editing on again start to move points around to get the curve of it

-uvmap it, texture to taste

-then when its the way you want it, delete the head and any armature that came with it

-export the hat as a .obj

-open nifskope and open one of the hats like the business hat

-copy and paste the caps nitristripsdata over to business hat and save as a new nif

voila, hopefully i didnt miss anything important. if you have any questions about those steps there is a lot of info on how to do those things on various 3d forums around the net, or around here. so hopefully that should send you in the right directions.

heres an extremely quick one i mocked up using those first few steps
