Then I replaced them all with short, silent versions. But... nothing seems to take. I'm still getting crickets in the middle of the day. I've got other mods going as well, and Archive Invalidation on, so I don't know why these ones don't seem to work. I've even tried to make an .esp of my own, setting all the crickets and cicadas to stop immediately after they start. I have no way to tell if I used the GECK right for that, though. I couldn't figure out how to use it to replace the sounds directly. I'm hoping someone can make an .esp so I can load it after the other mods... or help me find some cricket noise files I missed. Or just show me to a GECK tutorial for replacing ambient sound files... Here's a .rar with the silent .ogg files, all named and sorted into the proper folders. Edit: I think I found it, the sound that's driving me crazy is listed under "sound\fx\amb\amb_desertdefault\beds"—I'll try replacing these and see if that doesn't solve it!Edit 2: Those were the ones, haha.
