Operation Anchorage 'backpack' issue fix?

Is it possible someone who knows how to mod, can release a mod for the Operation: Anchorage Gauss Rifle, that causes it NOT to use a 'backpack' slot. Whenever I equip it, any backpacks I'm using (only unmodded version in vanilla is the Tesla Armor 'back') that I have equipped (such as those in the backpack addon) are made invisible, the same way if I were to equip a minigun that placed an ammo pack on my back would.

The thing is, the Gauss Rifle I believe incorrectly places a 'backpack' slot in it, when it doesn't use a backpack-styled device, like the Minigun or Flamer. Four pics for reference, two with a normal energy weapon, and two with the Gauss Rifle, although I think you get the idea:

It's probably an insanely simple fix, but I couldn't G.E.C.K. my way out of a paper bag. Anyone willing to do this, it'd be majorly appreciated by myself, and perhaps a few others who enjoy the OA Gauss Rifle, and the Backpack Mod.

Update: It's come to my attention that http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3640 fixes this issue, however it also clashes with this http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3429.

Only one of them can be active at a time. If the repair mod is activated, you can't have the extended clip size. If you want the extended clip size, you can't have the backpack fix/repair fix. Kinda depressing.

Ok I don't do things for anyone (give a man a fish and he feeds his family for a day, teach him how to fish and they will be fed for a lifetime), but I do tell people how to do things.

1. Open the GECK (if you don't have it, download it).

2. Click File > Data

3. Double click your "Gauss Rifle Clip Size mod" then "Set as Active File", then "ok".

4. In the left box expand Items (click the + next to it), and highlight Weapon.

5. In the right box navigate to DLC02WeapGaussRifle, and double click on it.

6. Uncheck "Hide Backpack".

7. Click Ok.

8. Do step 5 and 6 for DLC02WeapGaussRifleWasteland

9. Go to File > Save.

10. Load the file like you would another mod.

The reason the two mods you have found conflict, is because they both alter the same reference. If someone had made your request it would still have conflicted with the larger clip size mod. The only way to do it properly is to edit it yourself using my tutorial above.
