Lotus97
In Morrowind you could try either persuasion, intimidate, or bribe and based on your speechcraft skill and maybe personality attribute you could sometimes get better prices. If you failed you might get worse prices. I was thinking of maybe a simplified version of this for Skyrim. The effect could last until either the store was restocked or a week or permanently. I think the gains (or losses if failed attempt) should be more modest than Morrowind. This will finally give people a chance to use more skills in the speechcraft tree and make buying and selling more fun.
BloodBond76
Cool idea, but in what way exactly could this be done?Cause your idea may turn into the pie game in oblivion
Lotus97
I haven't played Oblivion so I watched a video on the speechcraft minigame and that cracked me up tbh. I don't know much about mods, but I'm guessing this would be very simple. Just one or two tries and you succeed or fail. I wonder if it's even possible to do though since you'd have to have different prices for each seller. I don't know anything about mods though so who knows? Lotus97
The only idea I can come up with as far as how it would be implemented is if the persuasion attempt is successful a fortify barter affect (like from potions) would be granted for a short time. I think it would also be good for this to count towards speechcraft skill if successful (or maybe unsuccessful to a lesser degree).
