Broken Steel issue - Mod does not start

When I finish the normal game, I die in the radiation room (well, "die"), the cinematic plays, the two weeks later sign shows up, and then I wake up... but it's odd, because it looks like I wake up underneath a table or something (been doing some heavy drinking after reactivating the purifier...?). I can hear Fawkes grunting occasionally and some robot floating over me somewhere, but that's it. Nothing else happens, no matter how long I wait.

 

First tried disabling all of my mods, now I completely wiped Fallout 3 and every mod I ever downloaded, trying to start anew. Does anyone know what this issue is or has anyone encountered it before?

 

(by the way, I did patch myself to 1.5).

See: Patch 1.5 is completely broken and everything about it sucks.

 

I recommend downgrading to the last patch until things blow over. Currently 1.5 just spawns a near-infinite amount of bugs and glitches, both within the Broken Steel content and outside of it.

Well... my issue was happening both before and after 1.5, so I don't think that the patch is to blame. I've looked at your post about the latest patch, and I haven't had any of the issues that you got listed there.

 

By the way: my Fallout is a legitimate copy, so that rules out any issues connected to illegitimacy.

Well than I don't know what to tell you. But I would recommend downgrading anyway, to avoid any future problems until Bethesda fixes this god-awful patch.

 

I'm not really sure why you brought it up, but legitimacy of the copy has little bearing on how well the patches work (or in the case of 1.5, how badly they fail to work), as nearly every post I've seen about BS or 1.5 has involved some mention of reoccurring bugs or glitches.
