paladinoa
I have a lot of mods that I wish to run, but am having problems. First a screenshot of my OBMM is attached. Second, when I activate most of them, sometimes Oblivion runs, sometimes not. For example: I got a working setup that worked, as long as I left OBMM open, when I closed OBMM and tried to run Oblivion, the game did not run. Also during this time I had all the pose packs active, but the orbs and spells weren't in my inventory. Lastly is there a superior program to OBMM available? Here's a preemptive :thanks: ! theLeeHarvey
I've sorta been out of the loop for a while so I could be very wrong, but I'll give you an answer as best I can. I would say first off, remove the least useful mods you are playing with, the ones you can live without, that would give less chance for having mods that are causing problems. Second, don't bother closing OBMM to launch Oblivion, just launch it from the mod manager. Third, I don't know by looking at the list, but it seems like you might need OBSE if you don't already have it. I think some of your mods require the script extender and the lack of it could be causing your problems. I could be wrong about this as I'm not a modding guru by a long shot, but I think if you try these couple of things you might find an improvement. Your game is heavily modded, not as much as some, but plenty enough that you are likely to have problems, as you are now finding out.
dezdimona
ok.I see you have sexy companion. To use sexy companion you need OBSE.16. Once you install OBSE you have to launch the game useing it or it will malfunction. If your having problems with getting her to work use our topic for her,Dezi
paladinoa
I do have OBSE, but I don't know how to make OBMM use that as the opening source instead of the regular Oblivion launcher. Is there a way to do this? Also, would a reboot to a backup data folder (which I have), be in order? Thanks for the help.

Just make sure you have both installed correctly. I you want an alternative to OBMM, try WyreBash. It's a bit more coplicated to use.

It's a bit more coplicated to use.no,it does not. you create a desktop icon for OBSE and then you lauch by clicking on the desktop icon,Do not use OBMM to launch the game. You can create an icon by right clicking on the OBSE exect and in the drop down menu click create desktop icon
theLeeHarvey
I use both and if you install OBSE in the correct place, when you use OBMM to launch the game it will automatically launch it via OBSE. It's in the readme for OBMM. You'll know you have it correct because when you launch Oblivion from OBMM with OBSE installed correctly, you'll see the OBSE window pop up briefly before the game starts. I imagine you could launch it another way as Dezi says, but this is the way I've been doing it for a couple of years now and I've not had a problem with either program. paladinoa
Dezdimona, that's what I have been doing. As for wyre bash, I am going to check it out. What is the best mod manager to use, i.e. the one that gives the most feedback and such. Also is there a online faq or something for OBMM?
