BlueCrimpson
As you can see, the difference between skin tones is quite dramatic and very annoying. I've tried everything i can think of, using obmm utilities, manually checking all head meshes and textures, deleting duplicate files, deleting all added head files, restoring all head related files... tried installing head06, same problem. when using head06 it seems that oblivion won't use it, instead it continues to load the vanilla head. all i want is for the head texture to match the body texture. can anyone offer any advice on fixing this problem? i understand that the Exnem bodies won't match the vanilla head and therefor you'll get this problem, but i've seen screen shots of other players using exnem and the difference between head and body are practically flawless. dezdimona
which one should i be using?ok,now I understand a little more.I hope. Exnems does not replace the head, only the torso, legs and arms. I'm not sure what head 06 is?. Have you tried a custom race mod.Much better results can be achieved that way, also there is a neck seam concealer mod you can use
Deepblue686
But generally there's not much you can do besides what dezdimona has told you.The neck seam thing is a bug with the skin colour adjustment The best you can do you go to the end of the sewers when you start a new game, remove your clothes, equip a torch and then adjust until you get it right. Or enter "showracemenu" in the cheat function and do it in an existing game. Even if you do get the skin tone to match the head, you'll still get the seam when near some lighting (torches, ouside, etc.)
BossDweebe
If you like playing with the Gimp/PS you can do some work on the lower part of the neck.First you can either darken the body or lighten the face texture, or both, then you can blend somebits of body texture into the neck.I copy an paste small irregular shapes from the clavicle area of the body texture tothe bottom of the neck on the face texture, then do some smudging. Then I do some colour picking and airbrushing. The seam still shows some, but this helps a fair bit. When you use a neclkace seam concealeryou still have a disparity between body and face complexion. Nothing can be done about NPC's.
