Akulakha
So I've been having an issue with constant save corruption and I'm hoping someone can give me some insight as to what may be causing it. So I currently have around 1500+ plugins installed. Yeah I know really excessive. Whenever I start my game with alternate start enabled, after around a minute and a half my saves become corrupted. What's weird is that when I restart my game the saves become uncorrupted and become corrupt again after I load them up in-game usually after around 10-15 minutes or more. I know it starts to happen when I suddenly can't interact with npcs. I thought it was a specific mod in my load order causing the issue and so I began the process of elimination and began disabling mods until I found the culprit. Weird thing is is that every time I start a new character the save corruption seems to slowly take longer and longer for it to occur. After I disabled like 120 mods my first round of corruption would happen after like 5 minutes. I did download engine fixes and set it to handle 2048 files but the corruption for some reason is still happening. I can't have been the only one who experienced this with this many mods in their load order. Could specific mods cause this or does this happen when you have a ton of mods? Thanks so much everyone and hope you have a wonderful day!
7531Leonidas
Have you double-checked your plugins for Skyrim LE form number 43, instead of form 44? This can cause corruption. With so many plugins, a small adjustment to some of your Papyrus.ini settings may be needed, to allow for a little extra time to settle down. I had to do this under LE for stability issues long ago. Look up the info, and save a copy of your original settings before you change anything.
jjb54
I went through a similar issue and then noted the DATE it started: - A.E. was released and it's been a pain to put everything back without AE as I simply do not like it. One of the reasons I don't like A.E. is that in Hearthfires they force the aquariums in the basement and I simply have no use for them and like a different mod that uses that space. I'm still trying to correct the AE back to SE ... but it's proving to be no small challenge as something is FORCING an update that I do not wish to have. Hietanen
Save corruption and missing dialogue options happens when you play without Engine Fixes installed, or have it installed but without properly configuring it. To fix corrupted save bug and missing dialogue bug change MaxStdio to 8192 in the EngineFixes.toml in the SKSE folder. This fixes corrupted save and dialogue options not showing and other issues. MaxStdio = 8192 To fix crash on load save bug or corrupted saves bug, you need to change setting "SaveGameMaxSize" in "EngineFixes.toml" file in the SKSE folder to "true". These changes should fix your problems. I've been struggling with this for a while and glad someone helped me out. Thank you so much! Love the modding community!
Sphincks
I know this is an old topic and I understand about 'MaxStdio = 8192'The question that I'd like answered is;Is the 8192 value the upper limit? I see nothing written about that. Can I use 16384, 32768, 65536+? To compensate for the increase of memory now compared to 12 years ago?Excuse my ignorance. Thanks in advance
