Nifskope problem

Whenever I try to change textures on this nif, the new textures end up with numbers after them, which weren't there on the originals. When I try to use it in the geck, it crashes. When I reload the file in nifskope, I get the following error: ""device position incorrect after block number 19 (BSShaderTextureSet) at 98730 ended at 98795 expected 98758"" and the textures are gone. What's going on??

Ok, I managed to fix that problem, but now I have another. The new textures won't show up in game, it just shows the old textures. Everything looks like it should in nifskope, but in the geck the model shows up with swirly rainbows all over it. What have I done wrong?

are you using archiveinvalidationinvalidated?

 

edit: also make sure that the textures file path in nifskope has the textures folder at the beginning.

 

ie textures\armor\whatever\tex.dds

not just armor\whatever\tex.dds

 

sometimes if you use the browse to button, nifskope wont add the base texture folder
