Active Effects page is stuck!

Recommended Posts

Hey all, first time posting here.

I'm having trouble with Oblivion: my "active effects" page doesn't update to remove effects that are no longer, well, in effect. It DOES update, however, to show any NEW effects that my character is affected by. So for example, if an enemy casts a burden spell on me, it'll show up on the active effects page, but once the spell wears off the page still lists it as active. I didn't notice it at first, but just now I took a quick peek at the page and it is looooong, full of effects that aren't active any more.

I just messed around and disabled all the mods, and here's my real problem:

ONLY the effects from the "inebriation" mod that comes bundled with OOO are stuck on the active effects page. Nothing else. I saw other stuff that I thought was stuck but it's not, it's just permanent effects that I didn't recognize. So my problem is that the active effects page is showing inebriation effects even after they're supposedly gone.

Here's a list of the mods I'm running, in the order they load:

-Unofficial Oblivion Patch

-UOP Vampire Aging & Face Fix (Part of OOO)

-Short Grass v3

-Enhanced Water v2.0 HD

-Book Placement v2

-Toggleable Quantity Prompt

-AF Level Mod

-Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul

-Water Weeds (Part of OOO)

-Map Marker's Stock (Part of OOO)

-Living Economy (Part of OOO)

-Living Economy - Items (Part of OOO)

-Cutthroat Merchants (Part of OOO)

-Shivering Isles(Part of OOO)

-Spell Tomes (Official DLC)

-Knights of the Nine

EDIT: I forgot to mention this when I first posted this, but because the Toggleable Quantity Prompt requires it, I'm running Oblivion through OBSE v16.

Anyone know what might be causing it? How to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

(PS I didn't know whether to post this here or in the "Mod Troubleshooting" section, but because I'm not sure if it's being caused by a mod or if it's just a problem with Oblivion proper, I posted it here.)

It could be the effect is in the game save.

Strange that only one would be, but it is possible.

Have you rolled back to a save before the problem ?

While it is probably not the cause of this problem

I would think that the DLC's should be before the OOO stuff.

usually next after UOP.

I found the problem; there's a bug in the inebriation mod that if you sleep while inebriated the effect will supposedly go away but your stats will remain affected.

Found the solution, in case anyone else has this problem.

It says it's for OOO 3.32, but it works with 3.33.
