AngelaR
I'm having a hair issue. I recently downloaded some hairstyles from a blog, 'Are You Ready?' http://tklivory.tumblr.com/tagged/dragon-age-mods that was linked to some of Kina Hime's hairstyles. Since there wasn't a chargen file when I downloaded the file, I added the hairstyle I wanted into my current chargen file and resaved saved the file. Now the style is showing up, but it's invisible hair in the Character Creator. I have it typed under the correct spot and typed correctly from what I can tell. If anyone can give me any other suggestions I'd sure appreciate it. Thank you. :)
Risibisi
You see no hair and you character hasn't even a bald head? Means the scalp is missing too?Are you really sure that your edit of the chargenfile is correct or did you maybe paste the chargenline for a female human hair under the elven hair section?Or maybe you have overseen a space in the chargenline? AngelaR
Yea, the scalp is missing also. So I'm not sure where to go from here. The file is listed under the female human hair section and the spacing was correct as far as I could tell. I based it on the other files around it. It had everything all the others had. Below are the 4 files and the extensions and then I also put in what I typed into the chargen file. Maybe someone will catch something I missed. hf_har_posh_0.msh/mmhuh_har_posh.dds/mao<resource name="hf_har_posh_0" cut="1" />Thanks for your reply Risibisi. Risibisi
I've downloaded the hair. The files are correct and the hair shows up in the CC. It must be a mistake in the chargenmorphfile or something else is overwriting the files. Can you see it in the toolset? You have a space before the last slash / but that doesn't matter it should show up.
AngelaR
Well, I took out the space before the last slash. The other ones have a space which is why I put one there. I didn't realize I needed to put them in the toolset also, so I put them in there, but she is still scalped. I'm not quite sure what the CC is. Also, here is a small section of my chargen file. My Posh hair is the last entry in the hf section. <resource name="hf_har_ren09_0" cut="1" /><resource name="hf_har_ren10_0" cut="1" /><resource name="hf_har_ren11_0" cut="1" /><resource name="hf_har_ren12_0" cut="1" /><resource name="hf_har_ren18_0" cut="1" /><resource name="hf_har_idk03_0" cut="1" /><resource name="hf_har_idk05_0" cut="1" /><resource name="hf_har_idk09_0" cut="1" /><resource name="hf_har_idk10_0" cut="1" /><resource name="hf_har_idk12_0" cut="1" /><resource name="hf_har_idk20_0" cut="1" /><resource name="hf_har_dsch01_0" cut="1" /><resource name="hf_har_dsch01a_0" cut="1" /><resource name="hf_har_jx001_0" cut="1" /><resource name="hf_har_jx002_0" cut="1" /><resource name="hf_har_posh_0" cut="1"/></human_female><dwarf_male><resource name="dm_har_blda_0" cut="0234" /><resource name="dm_har_ha1a_0" cut="1" /><resource name="dm_har_ha2a_0" cut="1" /> Now, the uf files, do they need to be added into the chargen files somewhere also? I really appreciate you helping me figure this out.
theskymoves
I've used that style without any problems, and the line in my chargenmorph is identical to yours. Copy/pasted from my file: <resource name="hf_har_posh_0" cut="1" /> Since your chargenmorph entry seems to be correct, the obvious troubleshooting questions are into what directory did you place the unzipped files, and are all four files required for the style present in that directory? (And 'CC' is just shorthand for 'Character Creator', i.e. the in-game character design interface.) Edited November 21, 2013 by theskymoves
Risibisi
No, no.. you don't have to put it in the toolset. I have asked because if you could use the hair with the toolset, something would have been wrong with your chargenmorphfile but as Theskymoves said.. everything is correct with you chargen morphfile..The space in the chargenline before the slash is correct. You can make the entries with or without the space.I didn't asked about where you have the files because I assumed that you have them in your override folder. Risibisi
Cool! What was the problem?
AngelaR
I'm not sure if I had the files in the toolset and the 2 sets of the hair files in the override file at one time and didn't get them all cleared out until I removed all the files from my DAO game file and dropped them back into the override file so I knew I only had one set in there. Then again my computer may be plotting against me. :) That is just a guess as to what I did. Thank you for helping me through the problem I was having with it. I hate bothering people with this kind of stuff, but I really wanted to use this hair style.
