Can't complete 'Escape from Enclave Base' objective

I'm currently running through the main quest, and I can't seem to get the 'escape the enclave base' objective, to complete the quest surrounding it (The American Dream) and advance to the final quest (Take It Back!). I walk out the bulkhead door, I see 'escape the enclave base' flash on my screen in the upper corner, but it doesn't 'cross' itself out. A few big explosions at Raven Rock later, and I still don't have it. I fast travel somewhere else, and still don't have it.

 

Is there a console way around this? Someway I can 'gift' myself the completion of the objective?

Hmmm i cant think of why this would happen... it will probly be and error in the game..

There are two thing you could do go back and try it again...

 

Did you rescue falks from the vault because mine crossed it out when i rescued him...

 

The only other way i could sugest is that you just finished the quest the easy way

By Bringin up the comand console and typing "GetQuestCompleted"

 

Ive never tryed this to see if it works but give it ago and let us know if it does.

do you have mods installed? one of them is messing up the quest....maybe never had a error there.....o_O

I've had enough problems. I'm reinstalling, I didn't understand 'load orders' until a day ago, so there's probably been irreparable damage to the games infrastructure on my part.

 

Hopefully a fresh install and a properly categorized load-order scheme/a bit of restraint when downloading every mod that exists will help me get through it better this time. I just really hope I'll be able to use my old saves (backed them up).
