AT0m1kSqu1rr37
So I'm currently using Project Nevada EVE and WMX. I just got a hold of the unique Plasma Disruptor from PN and I prefer its looks over my standard Plas Def. however the one and only problem I have is that I dont think WMX had mods for the disruptor and because of this the projectile is not sped up. Is there any way to make the plasma projectile faster by using NVEdit?
ToxicWhiteout
You can just go to the GECK and open it up in the weapons menu, and raise the fire rate. I can do it for you, or you can try it yourself if you want.
AT0m1kSqu1rr37
I know how to increase the fire rate, but the thing I was looking for was plasma projectile speed so I don't need to lead as far. Basically artificially adding a magnetic accelerator Edited November 19, 2013 by AT0m1kSqu1rr37
Jojash
A fairly simple way of doing it would be to load up the equipment module for Project Nevada in the GECK find the plasma disrupter, go to Mod info, go to the first box underneath Game Effects and then select ModNVPlasmaRifleMagneticAccelerator from the drop-down menu. Set the value to whatever (it's set to two for the plasma rifle, which I would imagine doubles the projectile's velocity), after that go to the first box beneath Modified Models and make sure that the file path leads to the plasma disruptor. I think that would be: "pnx\weapons\1HandPistol\plasmapistol2.nif" and that the first person model is set to, "PNxE1stPersonPlasmaDisruptor". After that save as a separate .esp and put it below any patches you have for Project Nevada. In-game this will mean that you can use the standard plasma rifle magnetic accelerator mod with the plasma disruptor. It won't change how the gun looks, but it will speed up the projectile. Alternatively, if you don't mind editing the speed for all plasma disruptors (there are more than one, right? I can't recall at the moment) you can edit the projectile "PNxEPlasmaDisruptorProjectile1", go to "speed" and increase the value there. Good luck! Edited November 19, 2013 by Jojash
AT0m1kSqu1rr37
Awesome, but I've been using NVEdit to make most changes, I haven't really used the GECK itself (is it very different?) I don't even know how to access it since I'm on steam. NVM I figured it out I thinkAlso the Plasma Disruptor is Unique so changing the item itself is fine. EDIT: I got the GECK pulled up but I'm having difficulty finding the Plasma Disruptor I keep trying to open the PN Equipment module but it keeps listing the vanilla weapons list. Jojash
I haven't really used the GECK itself (is it very different?) It is, but I can provide you with a step by step guide. If you don't have the GECK you can download it here. Make sure to extract it to your game directory, the folder that "Data" is in. Step by step guide: 1) Open up the GECK, click on the Open folder icon located in the top-left (or if you prefer, go to File, Data...). 2) Double-Click on FalloutNV.esm, then double click on Project Nevada - Equipment.esm (It may be difficult to see which one this is. If you look to the right of the file list, you'll see a greyed-out box entitled "summary", in there will be the name of the file.) then click on "okay" 3) In the Object Window select (click on the "+" next to it) Items, then select (don't click the "+" this time) Weapon. 4) Type "plasmadisruptor" into the search bar at the top of the object window. 5) Double click on the entry that appears. 6) Click on the tab entitled "Mod Info". From here my previous post pretty much covers it. Other than the actual saving process, for which you would click on the floppy disk next to the open folder button, or you can go to File, Save. And then you just need to make sure that your file is below every patch for Project Nevada. :)
