kingkongfive
So I've started a new game with Oscuro's Overhaul and after about two years of totally forgetting all about Oblivion this mod has managed to totally get me back into the game. It's really good! There's a few things I still want to know about it though... 1. Is this mod compatible with the Spell Tomes DLC? Cause that's the only DLC I have and I was excited about it when I got it; I figured it would be a nice addition to OOO in my attempt to get hooked on Oblivion again. And yet, so far I haven't found a single spell tome anywhere. I know that OOO places specific loot in specific places, does this mean that the randomly appearing spell tomes will be overwritten by OOO's fixed loot? Or have I just not gotten lucky enough yet? 2. Okay, so, HOW exactly does the leveling work again? :P I know that the mod places different level caps on different monsters (so that you don't end up running into unrealistic level 43 rats, for instance). Does it also place caps for minimum levels (for example, a minotaur's level can't be less than X)? Or did vanilla Oblivion do that already? Finally, assuming the answer to my question is yes, there is a minimum level cap on certain monsters: is a monster's level decided randomly or does the mod try to match a monster's level to mine as much as it can within the level caps? So for example, imagine I run into a troll, and the troll's level caps are (I'm making this up off the top of my head) a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 20, and my character is level 5. Will the troll be any level between 7 and 20, or will it be 7 in an attempt to bring it as close to me as possible while remaining in his realistic level cap? 3. If you're still reading, first off thanks, and second, just how compatible is OOO with MMM? I've been eyeing it for a while now, but I don't want it to mess with the enemy leveling system that OOO sets up. I've read that they're "compatible," but just what does that mean? Will the monsters from MMM be leveled by OOO in the same way that the other monsters are (with caps and with that risk-vs-reward system), or will they be leveled to match my character, without caps, like in vanilla Oblivion? 4. Finally, kind of similar to number three. I'm thinking of getting Shivering Isles. I know OOO doesn't mess with it and that it's playable with OOO installed, but if I buy it, will the monsters in the SI realm be leveled according to the old vanilla leveling system? Any answers to any of these questions would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for such a lengthy post, but I figured I'd just get all my questions out at once. Thanks in advance! Deepblue686
Spell Tomes are usually found on the bodies of conjurors aren't they? That's the only way I find the books. Just sleeping in a camp somewhere and I'd be disturbed by a conjuror who attacks me.

That's interesting; I ran into a conjurer a while back (no spell tomes on him) and I thought he was one of the added enemies in OOO. I guess they're from vanilla Oblivion and I just never ran into one before. I'll keep trying to find them in my hunt for spell tomes.
