Skyrim SE Mods Stalling out when Downloading

Hello,

Hopefully this is the right place to post this. I am having an issue downloading mods through the nexus, specifically large ones such as USSEP and mods of the same size (smaller ones are usually able to download fully). I have been running a decent amount of mods on this system for a long time and am just now (after coming back to the game and installing the most recent update) having an issue where after clicking download, the download may reach anywhere from about 3% to 60% completion, before it completely stalls out and won't move past that percentage. I've left it for hours just to see if it will download eventually, with no change in percentage. I've scoured the internet four literal HOURS trying to find anything posted anywhere that sounds even remotely similar to what I'm experiencing, but found nothing.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Skyrim SE multiple times and onto multiple different drives to see if it was a space issue, but get the same problem each time. At this point I've also deleted all the mods that were previously downloaded and removed them from my library, just to make sure nothing was conflicting (still no luck unfortunately). **I also think it's important to note that I do not have the "Anniversary Edition" DLC**. As far as I can tell it is also not a network speed issue. I've never had this problem and currently don't have any issues with anything else on my PC, so it's extremely frustrating. Has anyone seen anything like this before? Could this be caused by the most recent update? Do I need to go buy the Anniversary Edition just to keep playing? I appreciate any insight anyone may have, and please let me know if there is any more information I might be able to provide. Thank you!!!

**update: I tested it out of curiosity, and it is also doing this with mods in Fallout 4, which I also have downloaded through Steam. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the entirety of Steam, but am still having the same issue. I think I've exhausted all options at this point but am starting to wonder if this is the correct forum for me to post this on.

This is the Legendary forum, you should post on the Special Edition Forum.

When you do be sure to mention what mod manager you are using and the version of SSE you have.. At the moment I believe there are four or five versions of SSE, if you count the GOG version.

If it is also happening with Fallout 4 it is more likely to be a problem with your mod manager.
