OffPHwnr
Are there any mods that fix this because I don't like my fov changing just because I block. Edited November 13, 2022 by OffPHwnr
7531Leonidas
Double-check your hotkeys set-up, including your controller/mouse settings in the OS?
anjenthedog
Hmm.... in 1st person? (I don't general use 1st person. In third person, I've never had it change fov on me. and I only recently started using 1st person for it, after I installed improved camera, where afaik it doesn't change the FOV either (other than of course being in 1st person...i mean it doesn't change the 1st person FOV in any way. Only time things are dubious for me is during kill moves, in 1st person or 3rd person. So if for 1st person, have you tried using Improved Camera? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/31805 Or, If you use Customizable camera, I think it might have separate settings for combat, so you could set it for the same as for non combat to make it even (idk, guessing) Check whichever camera mod you're using fwiw
7531Leonidas
I have never had blocking change my FOV either, and I usually use first person when in combat, which is why I suggested checking hotkeys. Some mods have begun placing a LOT of hotkeys which conflict with other mods.

7531Leonidas
anjen - I was not trying to disagree, just realized that I did not specify the lack of an FOV change in my own game. Sometimes communicating by message/phone/etc stinks. A misunderstanding elsewhere in RL is costing me a good bit of money on a sale... Edited my earlier post to make it clear(er). I don't mind the running fov change as much but during blocking it is a little annoying. I tried disabling all of my mods and it still seems to happen. And yes I was referring to the 1st person cam. And I was planning on using immersive first person or improved camera anyways to get a better 1st person experience but I'm still working out my load order and the mods I want to use. Hopefully one of those will alleviate the issue. Edited November 15, 2022 by OffPHwnr

I do know that my mouse wheel sometimes ghosts me into a zoom just shy of true first person, and when that happens, my view is.... "janky" until I realize the situation and either go full into 3rd person or zoom back to 1st.. In any case, best of luck.

Well you convinced me to check again and I missed this the first time, but it only happens when you are in complete first person and are standing still and blocking. If I move in any direction the zoom doesn't happen. And if you sneak it doesn't happen at all. Pretty strange.
