deathlover2
Hi. Does anyone know if it's possible to enable DefaultGameCore.ini changes into XCOM Enemy Within? I changed values in the file, but they are not implemented in the game. In the past I used Resource Hacker but now it's not possible any more. Any other solutions? Thx. drake8888
Read the posts regarding ModHelper by UberJumper, makes modding EW and the DefaultGameCore.ini really easy. http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1215717-xcommodhelper/page-1 It is a command line tool and it can be found below. https://github.com/f...eases/tag/v0.31 Edited November 22, 2013 by drake8888

Thx.You need to follow the steps in 'Enabling INI Loading' under the 'Recent Discoveries' section of 'Basic Guide to installing mods', which was recently updated to include EW (bottom of the section). And Resource Hacker does still work. It modifies the 'resource cache' copy of the DGC.INI, and you are modifying the loose file copy. RH is specific for that purpose; not a general hex editor such as HxD. Use XComModHelper in this instance, as the link above suggests. -Dubious-
deathlover2
Now I know why it's not working. It's because I use the "alternative version". Any one knows how to disable that damn write-protection? Banned - TVD.
