A clean clothing set for a recovering world?

I've been looking, and I've not seen it yet, but it seems to me that.....well there's no better way to say it. The clothes for New Vegas are FILTHY! AND UNKEMPT! AND TORN! I'm referring specifically to the pre-war, gambler, businesswear and formal wear sets. Most of them need to be clean! The non-dirty pre-war clothes are badly worn, especially the dresses, the gambler outfits (remember, these are middle class people coming for the trip of a lifetime) are torn and filthy as peasant clothing, the suits, which are supposed to have been preserved by House are rumpled and dirty and worn, Crooker's suit looks like it has a thick crust on it, both male and female variants, and why do the White Glove Society have dirt and dust on they're pant legs?! They're way too snobby to let things like that slide! And while we're at it, the scientist coat series desperately needs to be cleaned up for NCR scientists. The only things that make sense are the shabby gambler outfits and the dirty variants of the pre-war clothing!

Does a mod exist that clean these up? Cause there should be!

Knightmare's Pre War clothing for one. There are others: the Professional mod for both FO3 and FNV has excellent dark suit, and a mesh that closes the tie gap, and works with all businesswear variants but Benny's Suit. There's also the Brit Army Jumper, Ashura's Formal clothing, a Tenpenny tux mod, and one I found someplace that had multiple skirt-like retextures of Variant 2 (the Causal clothing). There's also the Leather trench coat mod, which is a tasteful civilian retexture of Autumn's uniform with supple dark brown leather. Also, there's the Bogwalker set, which while meant for Point Lookout I've found useful, the TS Outfit, the skirt version of Paulson's Outfit in FO3 Tailor Made. Also, while not a pre-war mod per se, the Jeans Rule mod adds favor, if you do the config work yourself. There's also a Lincoln Suit for FO3, which is a retext of the Scientist Labcoat. Also the Goodfellas outfits, although those don't work really well for feamles unless you're playing a butch.

As you can see, a lot of those mods were just straight up new textures based on the outlines of the old stock textures rather than a clean up of the old stock textures except in the cases where the texture color was white. That's relatively easy to clean up/fix. In addition, more than likely other people just ported those mods over (whether for personal or public use). Hell, I'm using a higher-res texture of RobCo jumpsuit in my own FNV game that was originally created for FO3 but never officially ported to FNV.

Anyway, if you want new clean textures rather than cleaned up stock textures (which was what I was referring to in my first reply), then you have some options:

- A quick search shows that there was a decent recolor/rextexture of the White Glove/Formal Wear outfits:

- As for Ambassador Crocker, here's another retexture:

Oh believe me I LOVE that texture of Crocker's suit, been using it for a while. But while the rerext of the football wear is awesome, it's some of the other stuff that drives me bonkers. Nothing too much, and I've configured the game to where most of the outfits are semi respectable, I'm always on the hunt for more. Mostly this is aesthetics: Fallout is a western but the whole turn from the retro future to aimlessly mock the the 50s left a bad taste in my mouth. Also the lack of working cars in vanilla makes Charwo angry.

Huh? This has nothing to do with power struggles. It's that recovering economies, ie every governance in New Vegas, would have a thing for clean, well maintained clothing. Washing machines and tailors are not exactly cutting edge technologies.
