dallas8
A fellow recently posted a mod allowing you to resurrect a dragon at the cost of a dragon soul. A similar idea with npcs/followers would be amazing. That said, it doesn't need the flashy graphics, just being able to shout your followers back to life sounds great. If one of your followers falls in a fight you could have a quick combat res. In terms of justification..."The power of your Thu'um calls back the recently departed..." or something to that effect. There are already spell mods that do this, so it should be possible conceptually. This mod would negate the need to have your followers essential all of the time, and some sort of balancing effect could make it more immersive to boot. For example...Once a day cooldown/can only resurrect recently killed npcs/costs a dragon soul/costs a black soul gem?/some other rare requirement. Who knows, a crazy modder could go hog wild and have you be able to partially soul trap your followers a la dawnguard. They get a 10% debuff with the benefit of being able to call them back to life. Maybe a special black soul gem (or a normal one, theyre rare enough) would be needed. The mod I referred to: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/37046//? (mod author seems to be banned). junweizhu
It does make you wonder why this kind of shout isn't in the vanilla game in the first place, other than it being potentially gamebreaking. Since there are three words, what would it do in the first two words? Temporarily increase health regen? Heal a certain amount? I was thinking about these three words I would use and how I would mean them:Laas(life); Although Aura whisper use this to detect life, I think shouting the word in a different meaning could "improve" life, hence health regen.Daal(return); Returning parts of their dead/torn flesh to its original form, healing the person itself a proportion of their health. You could also say return part of their soul that's still around.Nahl(alive); A cry to convince their soul and their body to "be alive again." Does the combined three words make sense? Or maybe would Slen(flesh) as first word be a better choice, considering you prepare the body so the soul can enter again. Or Sil(soul) but that would make the part of my idea unusable. I don't know what I would do with the voices though, but I'll worry about that once I'm actually done with the whole thing. If it works that is.
