Infinite Loading & Mods Wont Load

Was 20 hours into a playthrough and decided to install some more mods. Tried reinstalling, validating game files multiple times, disabling all the new mods, disabling all mods.


Really hoping my saves aren't screwed. The mods tab just loads infinitely and so do all my saves. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated

Seems like Nexus decided today was a good day to mess with their servers (on the weekends, of course). :dry:

So I will be quick about this,

 

Try the half&half method.

 

Disable half your mods, see if the game loads.

If yes, enable the other half, and disable the half you left enabled in the last step.

If game doe snot load, you know the problem is in that half.

Reapply method one to the half where the problem exists until you find the mod(s) responsible.

Don't use the in-game mods tab. Manage your mods through Vortex or MO2. For in-game management MCM is a better option.

Are you mixing creation club and nexus mods? That way lies madness, good luck with that.

I'd recommend Buffout4 https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/47359 At least with that you'll usually get a crash log.

Any save from before you added mods should be fine, assuming you can get your game back to a clean state. Any save after you added mods should be considered dead.

Any change to your load order mid-game is a gamble. Certain addresses are assigned to files in your installed mods by load order. If you change your load order, you change the file's address, but not necessarily any reference to that address. The game engine will try to load these files but they won't be where they used to be and cannot be loaded > ctd's, corrupted saves, and other assorted f*#@ery. Sometimes any load order change doesn't become apparent until much later, you can play dozens of hours more before one little tweak you did earlier corrupts your save and/or makes the game unplayable.

 

From your load order you are running vivid weather and true storms, but I'm not seeing the merge patch. That's a problem.

You seem to be running a lot of awkcr and other related armor and weapon mods, I'd recommend ECO instead; newer, lighter, better, but you have to watch out for a lot of old mods that require awkcr.

You seem to have a lot of power armor mods, possible conflicts there. Are you showing any conflicts in your mod manager? Any warnings?

Dismemberment and unique npc mods can be temperamental.

Are you sure you have any requirements for your mods? Is F4SE installed correctly?

I see a vis-g patch, but no vis mod.

What is 0 PPF.esm? It looks like a master loaded as an esl, that's seems odd.

Just what popped out at me from skimming your load order.
