ChuckFinly
A buddy of mine gave me an FX-4100 because he upgraded to something else. If it works, is it worth selling my 955 BE and replacing it with the FX-4100? I do not plan on overclocking and I play games such as BF3 at High Settings. Werne
Replacing an AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE with an FX 4100 is a downgrade, that Phenom of yours outperforms it by ~10% in per-core and ~25-30% in multi-threading.
Rennn
What Werne said is correct. Also, if you have a decent motherboard it's almost criminal not to overclock a Phenom II Black Edition if you're struggling for performance. They apparently overclock ridiculously well.
