Mod Question.

So, I bought Fallout 3 about 3 years ago. I haven't beaten it, I can't even turn it on anymore.

 

But lately, after Metro LL and giving other games a-go. I think Fallout 3 has picked up some hefty mods to counter it's... lack of playability.

 

So! I have a question, I've been searching and lurking all kinds of mods, some seem really cool too. I would like some assistance or recommendations on what mods some use.

 

Here's what I'm wanting to do to the game overall: Add in HD textures/models and make the game overall a lot tougher, damage and NPC wise, something real challenging.

 

I know about the FWE and FOOK but they seem to add in content I don't like, I've found some simple mods too that just add that in but I lost track of them and the one I chose to use continued to crash my game (I no longer have it as I cleaned my comp up and rid myself of all the mods I had downloaded... all 15GB of them)

 

I've thought about the mods adding in guns from the old games, but I think if I had a gun that looked, sounded or reloaded goofy it just wouldn't work. (like one rifle in the FWE edition that loads from the side like the Gauss Rifle but doesn't remove the clip, just looked silly to me)

 

So aside from my incredibly picky post, if anyone has some good mod suggestions for HD textures and whatnot, I'd appreciate the extra guidance!

try what I support, the links are in my signature, fallout tactics is rather big, hosts most of what you want, the one stop shop is an iso of all the most predominate mods ever built, originals. Tasters choice.
