3erteeen
I started using oblivion mods about a year ago, I even got to the point where I made some of my own for Fallout (under a different name.) In other words I don't think I've overlooked anything obvious. I got a new computer recently, and have thus begun the arduous task of re-installing and updating everything Oblivion. Of course BOSS is an incredibly awesome tool that gets rid of a massive headache. BUT, as you can tell from the topic I vouched for a Core i7 and Vista x64. BOSS requires the C++ library, the microsoft site they direct you to is predictably the x86 version. I installed it anyway, knowing that it most likely won't matter (maybe it does?). I installed that, BOSS, and all the official DLCs. Activated all of them through OBMM, turned of lock times in wyre, etc. Then I ran BOSS just to make sure everything was good so far, and all i got back was: ----------------------------------------------------------- Better Oblivion Sorting Software Load Order Utility also supporting Fallout 3 and Morrowind © Random007, 2009, GPL3: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/ v1.3 (20 APRIL 09) -----------------------------------------------------------and nothing else... Now as I remember it, something would come back in the .txt even if you only had Oblivion.esm. What would happen if I used the x64 C++? Am I just being stupid? Sooooo, anyone? please and thanks.
XJDHDR
I would say try the x64 library. It can't harm your computer and you can't get BOSS into a worse state than it is in now. If the x64 library works, you've solved your problem. If not, no change to circumstances.
