InDarkestNight Posted November 29, 2022 Share Posted November 29, 2022 Dragons' breath attacks are treated as spells, which creates all sorts of problems. For one, you can stop a dragon from using their breath attack(s) by simply draining their magicka with shock spells. Also, you can make yourself practically immune using magic resist. Mods sometimes try to fix the latter by buffing the damage dragons deal. This however always creates an issue at low levels before you get magic resist. Often times the damage is so high, you have to max magic resist just to fight dragons. I think all of these problems could be fixed more simply by just divorcing their breath attacks from magic. You wouldn't be able to stop them from using their attacks by draining all their magicka, and magic resistance would mean nothing, only elemental resistances. If its possible, it could be an ideal solution to fix dragon combat without just giving them OP damage and stat pools. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
