Help with SSEdit

Here is the message I get when trying to load up SSEdit, it tells me I cannot edit anything.

I am using SSE 1.5.7.9 and am wondering how to fix this issue. Any help would greatly appreciated

On my install, the background loader loads [Voices_en0.bsa], followed by several [skyrim - TexturesX.bsa], where X is a sequential number from 0-8. Yours might be choking on the voices bsa. The startup log for mine is shown in the spoiler, but only for the basic game files. After that, my mod plugins start.

Maybe your Voices bsa is corrupt, or a mod/translation has a corrupted file that is overwriting it? You might check the downgrader ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57618 ) to see if you can get a new copy of the game files for 1.5.97. I haven't used it yet, but ask in the comments on its page, to see if it is a possibility. Maybe Steam's download depot is still active for 1.5.97.
