Horse Speed Bug or Mod Problem?

First, I apologize if this isn't the correct place to post this particular question...rather new to these forums. I'm having an issue with my horse's speed. Basically, it seems to change every time I mount. At first, it kept increasing...eventually it increased to the point that I couldn't control the horse and it was dying from taking huge falls. Then, I gained a level and it started decreasing each time I would mount. Both of them are rather annoying, but I'd take the increasing speed any day ....at least I can accelerate slowly rather than not getting anywhere at all! Thanks in advance!

I figured out the problem after doing even more searching around on the various TES forums and the web. It turns out that the mod "Saddle Bags" by Justin Sommercorn (which I don't even think is available on Nexus) determines its encumbrance and hit to speed by the horse's current health, among other things. I simply healed the horse and everything is fine. While that is a simple fix, I can tell that it is going to become extremely disruptive to my gaming experience so I'll be taking a look at an alternative such as MD Saddlebags (by Mabroshi Daikon) after I clear everything out of my current saddlebags for transfer. Anyway, I hope this solution helps someone who may be having the same problem!

Regards,

Greg
