Trying to figure out the cause of CTD

Try Buffout 4 - it has some requirements for it, but it creates crash logs with pointers to possible causes (and fixes a few issues as well).

Thanks for the Armorsmith mention! Back in October/November I downloaded a lot of those free Creation Club mods, and updated several of my existing mods, and it broke FO4.

 

It would CTD when I clicked on the Armor Workbench, or try to "examine" my (modded) glasses. I thought my FO4 install was dead! I deleted all the CC mods, but that didn't fix the problem.

 

But after reading your Armorsmith mention I disabled Armorsmith, and that fixed my game! I also reverted to the previous version of Armorsmith (backout out from 4.6 to 3.2), and that works too.

 

So thanks again! Will also look into ECO.
