Texture issuses (Helmet)

Well, as the title says, I'm having some texture issues with the Power armor Helmet. The textures appear fine in nifscope, but in game they do the crazy swapping/flashing of picking up the textures of everything around them. I have archiveinvalidation installed and all other mesh/texture mods work fine, just this one is giving me trouble. I've matched all texture attributes to the vanilla helmet to avoid any other problems, but to no effect. Modifying the mesh in blender and exporting WITHOUT chaning the textures works fine, it's just as soon as I change the texture that it goes nuts.... .Any ideas?

this might not be it, but in nifskope make sure the new texture path is

 

textures\armor\blabla\texture.dds

 

and not just

 

armor\blabla\texture.dds

 

if you use the browse button in nifskope to select a new texture it can omit that first folder. although that may be fixed in the newest nifskope. i jsut remember it from the last.

 

also what happens if you just open it in the geck preview?
