gurgelstock
I recently installed OOO and for some reason I am getting odd mesh errors related to oblivion.esm. So I decided to go for the clean install since I have been wanting to install Shivering Isle and the Unofficial Oblivion Patch for quite some time now. Now my concern is this: Oblivion is patched to 1.2, I have various huge mods installed that alter level lists or cells and I used wrye bash to import these changes. This probably means that my game wont even start if I load my last savegame with none of these mods installed. However to perform a real clean install I read that it is recommended to:a) install oblivionb) run the game oncec) install dlcs and/or shivering islesd) install latest updatee) run once moref) install mods and playand I simply fear that this wont work for me. So my plan was to:a) install oblivionb) run the game once if possiblec) install dlcs including shivering isles d) install latest updatee) run once more if possiblef) install UOPg) install OOOh) install other modsi) hopefully load my working savegame once all required mods are installed Will this work or is it absolutely required to load and save a game with an unmodded version before reinstalling the mods?Is it generally a bad idea to install SI on a modded save that has been played for more than 60 hours and has many many mods installed? Is it generally a bad idea to install the UOP on such a savegame? Thanks for any help!
dezdimona
obviously you have no mods requireing SI. Installing if OOO is being used might be a mistake,I'm not sure as I don't use it. My idea would be install Oblivion and SI then add OOO and any other mods.
gurgelstock
Yes, none of the various mods I have installed requires SI. I was going to try it that way (oblivion - SI - OOO). Hope this works but if I backup my saves, I can always go back to my current setup. Thanks so far!
