Errr- Editing player character only??

Ok so when editing body and face models, is there a way to make it apply to only the player character? Whenever I edit these textures it also applies to every other character in the entire wasteland- but I only want it for MY character.

 

Anyone know of any resources to work around this?

add a custom race that only your character uses, and apply the stuff only to that race
