ThirstyGrandpa
Hello, after starting a skyrim se modded playthrough, I came across an error which leads to a ctd. I tried to play the vanilla start, but due to crashes I switched to alternative start. That seemed to fix the crash at the start, but later after playing about an hour or two i decided to go to Helgen. Near the gate it just randomly ctd's. Same thing in Ivarstead. Tried to teleport into Ivarstead using the "coc iversteardexterior01" command line after seeing a post about it, but that didn't help either.I cleaned the plugins (vanilla, CC, mods) which were flagged as dirty in vortex, also used mator smash to patch conflicts. Still crashes. After going through the logs papyrus crated, I noticed FNIS had errors right before the crash, so i removed every mod that used it alongside FNIS itself.Still crashes. I'm relativly new to modding so I don't really know how to resolve these kinds of things. I would appriciate any advice and help. Thank you in advance.*apologies for any grammatical mistakes*load order attached*
MikeyTK
Deactivate some mods, start the game and check if it still crashes. Do that until you can narrow it down to one mod.Maybe start with deactivating obis and immersive creatures, those mods are known for ctds under some circumstancesSSE engine fixes is installed? xbk123
"I noticed FNIS had errors right before the crash, so i removed every mod that used it alongside FNIS itself." Check what animation mods you have/had installed. Remove them and check if it still happens. Also, if you had some animation mods installed in the past but you are not using them now check the nexus page for each of them about how to safely uninstall them. Check exact folders were they were installed. Check if there are any leftover files and delete if so. Basicly best to uninstall all anim mods. Carefully check all exact folders where they were installed and delete any leftovers. Then install one mod at a time run FINIS and check if CTD still happens. After disabeling that mod I didn't encounter any ctd's going into helgen or ivarstead. Animation mods didn't cause any problems. For now everything running smoothly.
