jemiari
I encountered a glitch where Seducer and Saint guards would just stop greeting me (subtitles would still show up) and had no dialogue options. I was never able to find out why so I had to reload an earlier save. In case this happens again, what could be the cause, and is it fixable? ytsejam91
have you installed any mod that changes something of them? if so, is the mod in another language than your oblivion version?
jemiari
I unplugged Reneer's Guard Overhaul (great mod but I found it too buggy) and replaced it with No Psychic Guards. I tried out one of the Sexy Walk mods and unplugged it immediately because it messed up the Saint/Seducer names. Everything was fine after that, though, until a couple of in-game days later. I'm not sure what I did to trigger the glitch or if it was already triggered and lying dormant. I've just removed this mod because BOSS says it might cause problems with Shivering Isles. Who knows? It's a pretty significant loss, though, because that mod optimizes most of Oblivion's scripts quite a bit.
dezdimona
Just because it says it might cause a problem is no reason to remove a mod.You may be experienceing a load order problem, and yes I know you use BOSS,but nothing is perfect
jemiari
I should just keep it in, then, even though it could result in problems and removing it has no ill effects? It's also unlikely that it's a simple load order problem - my load order was unchanged for earlier unaffected saves.
