[WIP] piccol0's armory

I am not terribly good at skinning or modeling but I am a fair hand at porting over models, kitbashing, creating normal maps, doing minor texture fixing and the like.

 

Here is a kitbashed model (ie, assembled by taking pieces of weapons modeled and textured by others.. like a Frankenstein) I have been working on. I think its coming out ok.

 

It has no ejection port since its based in part on a MR-C rifle (a concept rifle which fires caseless ammunition). Unfortunatley, it is a bullpup, so this thing will probably look silly on reload. It looks a little weird but thats intentional since it want to to replace the Chinese AR in my game (so, I wanted to look 'foreign').

Here is an update. I messed around with it some and Ive messed with the normals a bit (made them more uniform, added the alpha channel spec data, etc). Will try to get it in game tomorrow. Also have another gun I am working on. Will post screens tomorrow. Buenas noches.

Yah, I would definatley do that once its done. The way I am though, I might take stuff out or add stuff, so, I would give credits once its out in the world so to speak.

can you also port all the guns that your gun is using parts from into the game as well? especially the Returner Arms FW900K and the XM-586.

I could but thats too time consuming. I am just gonna share the stuff that I am using for my personal game. If you want any advice, I could point you to some tutorials on how to do it yourself. Also, FYI, those guns are fairly low poly. They look good in the screens but are only so-so in the game. The XM, for example, is very flat and uses normals to try to add the illusion of grooves and the like. The returner has a very skinny reciever and would look only so so with the way AR's are gripped in FO3. I was gonna port them over but decided against it once I started fiddling with them.
