uberu
Having searched extensively I'm about to give up. I go to install NMM on my new PC having had it working perfectly on my old 32-bit machine and the "Sandbox Detected" warning keeps me from opening it. As far as I can see there are no mentions/resolutions about running Windows Defender (as opposed to Comodo). I have added exceptions to both firewall and anti-virus - even turned everything OFF but cannot get this working. Considering grabbing an older version because in my decades I've never had such a frustrating time with a piece of software. Can anyone throw a protip my way? bben46
That error is because your firewall or antivirus is running in a sandbox mode. Which is a very good way to keep viruses and malware out. But can interfere with some programs that are not recognized. Look in the documentation for your firewall/antivirus to see how to make NMM an exception. Not every one will be the same and I have no clue about how to make that change in yours. Are you sure that is the only AV/Firewall that is running? Nothing else running whatsoever - like I said, I've already made NMM exceptions in both Defender and Firewall - even turning both off for a short while and trying again, to absolutely no avail. I've NEVER encountered this with any software before so I doubt very much that this problem is down to anything other than NMM's completely unnecessarily restrictive coding. I'll stay well away from NMM and this extremely slow website until Nexus get their s*** together.
