Thank you for the hard work, I really like the consistency and quality . . . . even for the users who are using it for free. I may just sign up for the premium service =)

People aren't freaking out because they have to install their mods manually. They are freaking out because they now have to install tons of mods without the metadata which could lead to future problems, lack of update/version notifications, be uncategorized, etc. Plus the fact that manually installing from an archive does not neatly put mods in the proper downloaded list of any mod manager, making it harder to keep track of things.

If someone is installing a fresh skyrim right now he will be royally screwed because his 150+ mods have absolutely no metadata so basically his entire setup is just as messy and hard to work with as if he just drag/drop installed everything.

@redslime

Step 1: Use Mod Organizer. Done.

It too does not have NMM capability at the moment, but you can right-click anything you've installed and select Query Info as soon as the NMM functionality of the site comes back online. And any 7z or ZIP or RAR archive dropped in Mod Organizer's download folder shows up in the downloads list. So people with a fresh install who are installing loads of mods aren't screwed. But it would be nice on this site if for the manual downloads, mirrors autoselected, like you know...standard load balancing.
