Karwyll-The Quest for truth

The poisoned arrow entered the troll's eye, spreading the poison in it's head. The beast stood about, swinging from one side to another. Erunanion shot another arrow, hitting it in the chest. The huge troll fell to the ground with a loud crash, almost tearing a tree down. Davanír was quick to run up and separate it's head from the body with his axe. "Is she alright?", he asked and nodded towards Lagána who lay on the ground, obviously unconscious.

OOC:Malchik's allowed me to post for him when he's not around.

IC: Feeling her pulse was normal, Erunanion helped her into a sitting position with her back against a tree. "And now what?", Davanír asked and looked around them. The spot they were on was in the middle of the forrest, pretty dark as the trees prevented to much light from reaching them. Although the strange trail was glowing with light, offering them enough visibility to not walk into things, even Davanír and Traxis, who did not own the good elven eyes, could see well.

As Traxis looked around to spot the horses, Davanír was trying his best to wipe his axe clean on the green grass. "Bloody troll's blood, harder to get off than paint", he muttered and inspected his axe. Traxis found all of the horses nearby, leading them back to his companions just when the rest of the elves returned, obviously unharmed. "We finished the other one", he said and looked at the dead troll. Venith reached in under his cape, finding a small vial filled with a bright white liquid.

"Give her this", he said and threw it to Erunanion, who emptied the vial in Lagána's open mouth. The liquid immediately woke her up, a little confused, but unharmed. "What happened.. where's the troll?", she asked and looked at Erunanion. Traxis, who wasn't dull minded, noticed shadows in the forrest and soft sounds that sounded like several feet were walking around further into the forrest.

Davanír walked up to him, looking into the dark forrest. "What do you hear?", he asked. "Someone's in there", Traxis asked and listened carefully. Ethillen called them back to continue their journey, and Davanír turned around and got into the saddle of his horse. However, traxis stood still, listening carefully to hear any other sounds, and Venith walked up to him to see what he was staring at.

"What's..", he started before seeing the shadow. The elf grabbed Traxis' arm and pulled him towards the horses. "Quick, everyone up!", he shouted and threw himself onto his horse, so did everyone else. The party continued their gallop through the forrest for almost an hour before they slowed down.

"Trust me, if you knew what I knew, you wouldn't stay either", Ventih said and grinned. The party kept moving for a few minutes before finally stopping to rest in a small glade. Davanír sighed as he practically fell of his horse. The sun was pretty high on the sky by now, the time was about 9 AM. Since it was almost summer, the sun was only gone for a couple of hours before it rose again.

Erunanion stepped to stand beside Traxis, taking a slightly colder attitdue. "I too would prefer to know what it is we have been running from, and who you are. I do not like that you know about us yet we know almost nothing about you - only that you come from a city that i have never heard rumour of, in all my long years of travelling.

I refuse to go any further until you tell us what is going on, and why we are here, with you. If you wish to make me continue through force, i welcome you to try." A slow smile spread over Erunanion's face.

Davanír lay about in the grass without caring the least. "Oh, no one here will atempt to force any of you into doing anything", Ethillen said. "That thing we were running from is a demon, I can tell you that", Venith said and looked somewhat insulted. "It's a demon of the forrest, summoned by a powerful necromancer of some sort who's settled down in the woods around here", he continued.

"Trust us, if you would have stayed, you wouldn't have been there for long", Vethol said and grinned. "You say you know nothing about us? Ask what you want and we'll answer it the best we can", Nathél said. Davanír scratched his chin for a second. "What about this city of yours, where is it and why do you want us taken there?", he asked. "Well, you can't really place it on a map because it's never at the same spot twice", Vethol said. "Our reasons will be revealed once we arrive".
