vault00
hello, is there a way to change where fallout 3 saves and gets its save game files from? so i can put them on a external drive?
kenchixp
You can copy them to an external hard drive, but you cannot get Fallout 3 too load from it unless you put them in the save game folder again (the normal saves will work fine, just Fallout 3 won't find the backed up save). The saves are located in [username here]\My Documents\My Games\Fallout3\Saves

kenchixp
I don't know for sure, butI found an entry in the Fallout.ini in my games that says "SLocalSavePath" it looks like it might allow you to choose a path, but I am not sure if it will work. Back up your Fallout.ini just in case before you try anything.
