saintgrimm92
When I was a teen, I read the Deltora Quest books, and just recently discovered they made an anime of it. Get this, the books written by an Australian author, turned into anime by Japanese and not even all the episodes were re-made with English dub, but anyway.... Reliving the experience through a cartoon (which isn't even half as good as the books btw) makes me kind of want to make a skyrim Deltora mod. I CANNOT mesh. I'm poor at texturing. I can create the world space, the NPCs, the quests, the dialogue, put it all into game. So really, all I need is someone to create the meshes/textures of the items I would need, but of course get full credit as a partner, not just a contributor. (for certain things I may need someone to assist me or possibly even do the scripts). I understand that some of the creatures from the stories may be literally impossible to create. No worries, I can improvise and use creature resources if need-be. I do not expect or plan on this to be a picture perfect mod. However, if this is to ever happen, Gorl's armor and the belt/gems are an absolute must. (and the shadow lord is pretty important too...) For it to all come together, I would need creatures, armor, weapons and buildings. The buildings aren't a must at all, I can use vanilla ones, or items from resources, but to make it as perfect as possible, I'd need new buildings. I'll go into the story a bit, for any interested modder who have no idea what Deltora Quest is. 2 people (becoming 3 shortly after the start) go on a quest to reunite 7 legendary gems with a belt. The belt has the power to defeat the shadowlord who took over the kingdom of deltora around 16 years earlier. This mod, if created, would be a quest in a world space built to look like Deltora, to gather the 7 gems by killing the 7 guardians. I'll post here the types of meshes/textures I would need. As I said, I can improvise on most of the creatures if need be, but here are 3 things that are absolute MUST haves for me to start working on this quest. If all goes well and the mod does well, or at least has a select few who really LOVE it, I would consider doing a shadowlands quest as well as the Dragons of Deltora. This is Gorl. I would only need his armor, as he can easily be a Nord. http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130129210208/deltora/images/0/0e/Gorl250.jpg The Belt. This is the scripting I'd need help with. The original item recieved at the first of the quest should have no gems in it. then as the player loots each gem from a monsters corpse, it should appear on the equipped belt. Diamond, Emerald, Lapis Lazuli, Topaz, Opal, Ruby, Amethyst. (not in that order, that's just the order in the picture, top to bottom) http://static3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20130124214036/deltora/images/c/c5/Belt_of_Deltora300.jpg I can't remember the shadowlord in the books, but in the anime he is just depicted as a huge mass of blackness with bright red eyes, and sometimes hands. I think this would be easy enough to create. Not how he appears in the anime, but just an armor/skin that is something like black fire that coveres the entire body, with red eyes. http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b12/ajllybean/vlcsnap-538894.png
IceDolphin
You're profile pic gave me nightmares. As I can not help I might know a guy i'll ask, Do not get ur hopes up.
saintgrimm92
My hopes aren't up too high either way. I'm currently working on a mod that I plan to be my "finale" mod, this would just be a small project to work on when I'm getting frustrated with the hard-to-do scripting in the current mod I'm working on. And thanks about the profile pic  Though I don't plan to release anything after I finish the current mod, it will take MONTHS more to finish it most likely. The Deltora mod I could finish in probably a week tops. A single quest, killing 7 creatures to gather 7 items, then fighting a final hardcore boss in a new worldspace wouldn't be too difficult for anyone to do quickly :P Edited December 5, 2013 by saintgrimm92
IceDolphin
It would be very difficult for me as I do not know how to make custome textures. Edited December 8, 2013 by IceDolphin
Tehandyman
I am very good with textures provided I have a workable mesh. If this mod idea becomes a thing, just letting you know you have someone to help out with textures should the need arise. I am currently learning how to mesh properly but so far all I can do is crap mashup jobs of vanilla assets.
